funding from Kids restore New Zealand

Kids restore NZ funded further schools in 2011, assisting them to carry out environmental restoration projects in their local community.  These cover a wide range of activities including native plantings, providing habitat for native butterflies, wetland restoration, and pest control for protection of kiwi and other native birds and animals.   

The schools who have received funding to date inlcude:

  • Kids Restore the Kepler project involving Fiordland College and Te Anau Primary
  • Featherston School, Featherston
  • St Joseph's School, Waitara
  • Mapua School, Nelson
  • Westmere Primary School, Auckland
  • Lochiel Primary School, Winton
  • Hurunui College, Canterbury
  • Okiwi School, Great Barrier Island
  • Pigeon Mountain Primary, East Auckland
  • Tikorangi School, Taranaki
  • Greymouth High School, West Coast
  • Cust School, Canterbury
  • Hurunui College, Canterbury
