funding from Kids restore New Zealand

Kids restore NZ funded six schools in 2009, assisting them to carry out environmental restoration projects in their local community.  These ranged from native reserve plantings, providing habitat for native butterflies, wetland restoration through to prest control for protection of kiwi.   The schools who have received funding to date inlcude:

  • Okiwi School, Great Barrier Island
  • Pigeon Mountain Primary, East Auckland
  • Tikorangi School, Taranaki
  • Greymouth High School, West Coast
  • Cust School, Canterbury
  • Hurunui College, Canterbury

So far in 2010, we have funded a further six schools:

  • Bucklands Beach Intermdiate School, Auckland
  • St Joseph's School, Waitara
  • Mapua School, Nelson
  • Westmere Primary School, Auckland
  • Lochiel Primary School, Winton
  • Hurunui College, Canterbury (2nd year)
